This is the latest updated training for Sports Trainers enabling you to be a Level 1 Sports Trainer in most sports. This course follows and exceeds the guidelines for level 1 Sports Trainer status. It includes 5 Nationally Recognised units of competency and should be recognised by all sporting codes, we do however recommend you confirm with your sporting body prior to booking on course, especially NRL. HLTAID001 Provide CPR
HLTAID002 Provide Basic Emergency Life Support
HLTAID003 Provide First Aid
SISSSPT304A Tape ankle, thumb and fingers
PUAEME004A Provide emergency care for suspected spinal injury
Detailed asthma training also undertaken to conform with Queensland Health requirements.
Detailed concussion and spinal injury's covered.
Detailed Splinting shown & hands on undertaken
Detailed patient extraction on stretcher and hand carry also covered (not spinal)
Modern Communications around grounds & fields.
There is a small amount of post course for a taping log showing you have done 16 hours of taping post course.

HLTAID001 Provide. CPR is annually and HLTAID003 Provide First Aid at least every 3 years. We suggest that the taping is refreshed at least annually unless it is being practised regularly. We operate a Level 1 Recertification Course.
This unit is designed for those who wish to gain a good understanding of first aid and those that are, or wish to become a designated first aider / sports trainer Level 1 at their sporting club. It is suitable for most sports (ensure you check with your sporting body first, especially NRL who have restrictive trading conditions), AFL, cricket, netball, Rugby Union etc.
