HLTAID003 Provide First Aid

(NOTE: if you are from Education and Child Care then you may need to select our specialist HLTAID004 Asthma/Anaphylaxis First Aid Course, please select it from the dropdown) This unit has been known in the past as Senior First Aid, Apply First Aid or even Level 2 First Aid. The name of the course changes but the importance of the information contained in the courses hasn't changed. The HLTAID003 Provide First Aid unit provides participants with the skills and knowledge to assist in almost any emergency situation involving first aid. 
The unit is recognised as the required training for first aider's in the workplace under all the various 'workcover' authorities throughout Australia
Course covers .......
anaphylaxis; asthma; CPR techniques on adults, children and infants; incident reporting ; how to properly assess an emergency situation; DRSABCD; using an Automated External Defibrillator (AED); first aid procedures for bleeding, burns and fractures; managing medical conditions such as epilepsy and asthma; managing medical emergencies such as snake/spider bites,; poisons and choking; infection control procedures; managing exposure to extreme temperatures; administering  first aid for eye & soft tissue injuries; assessing and moving sick & injured; legal responsibilities of a first aider; basic anatomy; managing shock; and much, much more!
